Velothon Wales
A world-class closed road cycling sportive and UCI sanctioned professional race, showcasing Wales as a host for major global cycling events with stunning 140, 125 and 60KM routes.
R4W delivered the complex event, which attracted 40,000 cyclists during its lifetime and spanned five local authority areas in partnership with IRONMAN.
We coordinated a comprehensive community engagement and public awareness campaign to over 200,000 residents and businesses – encouraging significant spectator support and positive sentiment throughout local communities despite widespread road closures.
R4W worked across multiple agencies to deliver a safe and high-quality event experience for cyclists, spectators and the local community whilst creating opportunities for corporate brands, sponsors and charities to engage.
