Principality Building Society, has announced that it will continue to be the title sponsor of the Cardiff Half Marathon for another year. The sponsorship deal, which was first signed in 2023, will see the event remain as the Principality Cardiff Half Marathon until at least 2024.

The Cardiff Half Marathon, which is organised by Run4Wales, is one of the largest and most prestigious road races in the UK and Europe and celebrated its 20th anniversary at the latest event. This year’s event also attracted record participants with over 27,500 runners signing up, and thousands more lining the streets to cheer them on including a team of Principality volunteers. As headline sponsors, Principality Building Society, worked with PRIDE Cymru to create a first for the event, the Rainbow Roundabout, where the atmosphere was lifted even further with a number of live acts.

The Cardiff Half Marathon aligns perfectly with our values and vision, and we are proud to be part of it.”

Matt Newman, CEO of Run 4 Wales, said: “This year’s event to mark our 20th anniversary was bigger and better than ever and we’re thrilled that Principality Building Society is extending its partnership with us for another year. The passion from the Principality team really helped bring a party atmosphere to the event, particularly by teaming up with PRIDE Cymru for our first ever Rainbow Roundabout. We’re looking forward to continuing our relationship and building on the event’s success to see what we can bring to next year.”
